Planning for response to Josephine Halvarson

 Josephine tends to focus on completing a painting in one sitting. A challenge I wanted to take on. Initially I wanted to do a series of 5 but brought it down to 3 paintings due to time constraints and complexities. 

The objects I painted are linked with the passage of time, the stories contained in belongings; and histories in the wear of objects. Specifically the link between objects and memory. They’re studies of the objects in their spaces. I deliberately painted as loose as I could, focusing on the enjoyment of the process rather then the finished result.
